Is SLA only for women?
SLA is for anyone who identifies as a woman.
I struggled with endless dieting, bingeing, restriction, over-exercising, abusing my body, and terrible body image for nearly a decade.
I eventually threw my hands up in the air and shifted my focus to healing my relationship with food from the inside-out...a life-changing decision I wish for every woman who struggles with their relationship with food.
Once I healed my “food stuff” and after years of not trying to change my body, a strange thing happened. I began to develop a serious interest in the science behind sustainable weight loss, and I wasn’t triggered by the idea in the slightest!
The idea of attaining a leaner physique was exciting, but it didn’t come with the same sense of desperation as it had in the past. Far from it! It came with a sense of humor and healthy detachment.
After spending nearly a decade following complete misinformation and extreme approaches, finding the “right” way fascinated me. I became a sponge, completed my Level 1 Precision Nutrition certification in 2017, and have learned the keys to long-lasting behavior change through coaching hundreds of women.
Through my own journey, I have developed a passion for bringing the tools, insights, and evidence-based information I've learned to others, and I’m excited to show women that it doesn’t have to be black & white.
I want women to know that many can have aesthetic goals, maintain the results, and sustain a beautiful relationship with food.
